Retail crime has reached unprecedented levels and is having a detrimental effect on communities.

It is a complex problem which requires a partnership response involving policing, retailers, the security industry, Business Crime Reduction Partnerships and other crime prevention partners and initiatives.

The Retail Crime Strategic Delivery Plan, ‘Tackling Retail Crime Together’, brings together all of those key partners to work as one to turn the tide on the volume of offending that is affecting retailers.

Retail Crime is a shared problem that requires a collective response. Our delivery of the Retail Crime Strategy brings together Policing, Retailers, Security Industry and Academia to work as one to turn the tide on the volume of offending affecting retailers.

This strategy outlines the framework for achieving these aims along with the governance that will oversee their delivery.

Sitting behind the strategy is a national ‘Tackling Retail Crime Together’ campaign managed by the National Business Crime Centre with bespoke branding which can be used by policing, retailer and partners when carrying our any activity covered by the strategic plan.
